Boats zig zag about and get blown off course, lose engine power, get caught in currents. Maybe we could use disused canals for sports.
I keep reading about collisions. Boats go into bridges, Other boats. Swimmiers, water skiers. Jet skiers.
The answer is so simple that I don't know why I have never thought about it, nor has anybody else ever heard of them.
Keeping water skiers and jet skiers in separate fenced off areas. Like cycle tracks
Or having days devoted to one sport. One vehicle at a time in a queue over an area with a barrier at both ends.
Keeping smaller craft in marked channels. Dividing estuaries, canals and rivers into up and down channels like motorways.
