How do you remember Romanian words?
Answers
1 Check which letters both the Romanian and the English word have in common.
2 If none, check tother languages which are similar.
3 Make up a link between the two words, such as a sentence using syllables from both.
4 Write the words in a notebook and keep looking at them.
5 Instead or in addition keep repeating the words.
6 Teach somebody else.
7 Set a target before a trip to Romania. Count the number of days. Aim to finish the course before arrival in Romania or after arriving.

English - Romanian
beef - vita (life in the bull, life in the beef; notice the little bowl on top of the a)
fish - peste - (note the comma or cedilla under the s turns the sound into SH)
of - de (same as French)
meat - carne
turkey - c u r c a n (urk in the English word, u r c in the Romanian.
we - n o i (like the French word nous)

c u r c a n - turkey
de - of
noi - we
peste - fish
vita - beef
