Always check your car before leaving it. A jacket on the back seat might cause somebody to break in. What if there's nothing in the jacket. They don't know that. Finding nothing, disappointed, they might smash all your windows - leaving the car undrivable. That happened to us in Spain.
If everybody always looked around the inside of their car before leaving it, they could not leave a baby in it.
How about attaching find my phone to a child. Then both parents can check on the child.
You can install on your phone a device for fining your phone, your friends, your pet, your location.
