Car Park
If you are travelling into London the car park costs six pounds. If you are shopping in the Broadwalk for just an hour or an hour and a half and shopping in Sainsbury's the car park is free.
Argos
Within Sainsbury's is Argos. This makes Sainsbury's like a department store. I was able to buy a light fitting.
I visited in early December when the holiday season lights were up.
Also in the shopping centre are more useful shops. Boots chemist. (Americans say drug store.) Poundland. Costa Coffee.
What is there to buy in the UK, which is hard to find or more expensive in Asia and overseas? Look for Chirstmas pudding, porridge oats for breakfast, coarse cut marmalade, British biscuits such as shortbread and chocolates and cakes such as fruit cake and Christmas cake.
Sainsbury's has a good selection of white, rose and red wines by the bottle at under ten pounds. (Prices in Dec 2022.)
Argos
My family ordered a light fitting from Argos. We wanted two and the Edgware branch had only one in stock. However, they were able to find another at Pinner and reserved it for us to collect the next day. The Pinner branch is also a large superstore with an Argos counter and a large car park with free parking for a limited time next to Pinner station which is on the Metropolitan line.
How To Get There & Where Next
Edgware Station is at the far end, the north, of the Northern line. The train takes less than half an hour to go to trendy Hampstead via Burnt Oak, Colindale, Hendon, Golders Green.
Beside the railway station is a bus terminus with buses going all over London. For example, Watford, Harrow, Stanmore.
If you can't get there, Sainsbury's and Argos are online.
