Delights of Dakota station in Singapore - and the name Dakota

First you see the orange underfoot; then you see the seats with proper backs. Many other MRT  (Mass Rapid Transport) stations have flat slabs of marble to sit on, no back support. What a luxury to have a proper MRT station chair.

Dakota sounds American. There are two American states, North Dakota and South Dakota.

The station gets it name from the numerous Dakota DC3 aircraft which were at the nearby Kallang airport.
Dakota means friend in the Sioux language of the Lakota tribe. Definitely a user friendly station.

Dakota MRT is on the Old Airport Road. We went to Dakota MRT to catch a bus to the temple. What a pity I did not see any planes in the decoration of the station.
