Sales including British Home Stores in Britain

British Home Stores (branches in Watford and elsewhere) is having a massive sale of stock and fixtures and fittings, I presume to pay off creditors whilst under receivership. There are notices on tills. Some of the items are bargains. Others make you wonder. A satin belt to go on your dressing gown reduced from about £10-12 to £6-7. It would have been handy at £2. But for ten pounds I can buy a complete dressing gown with belt in Primark or in the sale upstairs at British Home Stores.

Last chance - they mean it. Shelves are bare.

The vast choice of colours  has gone. Just one colour or oddments. Worth a look.

Then, of course, all the other stores. Plus Poundland.
