French words of the day: burlesque and risqué

Here is my little ditty using French words found today, followed by an explanation of French words.

French words of the day
Burlesque and risqué
Double entendre, bold not demure
Offstage, is it a cris du coeur?

burlesque - mock erotic dancing
risque - risking a double entendre (double understanding or double meaning)
demure - shy with downcast eyes
cri/s de coeur - cry / criesof/from the heart

French words of the day: force m a j e u r, risqué, memoir, voyeur



force majeure - major force, unavoidable ( I had to s p e l l not sell it out to stop spell checker making it English)
risqué - rude, sexy, daring (to get the accent, press on the e and you will see different accents with numbers underneath. Type in the number. The one I use most often is 2 for e acute or up accent.
memoir - memory of a defined period, such as schooldays, work for a particular company, wartime
voyeur - watcher, often used for somebody watching surreptitiously for a a thrill
