The Lumiere festival of light sounded such a great idea and the colourful pictures are gorgeous. Unfortunately some or all have been switched off. You can still enjoy looking at them on line.
Lighting has become a great addition to our cities. I love the lights which change colour. Unlike fireworks, no nasty bangs to upset animals, no explosives to injure anybody. Just wonderful colours and movement to watch.
One of the first buildings to change colour in London was an office block in Holborn. Neon lights around the windows changed through about three colours as you stood and watched.
