In Brescia an hour from Milan , you can visit their shop, and see about ten flavours of panetone, dofferent every year. After visiting the shop you could ask to see the factory in the afternoons when it is quiet and not operation. They can introduce you to wine, Franciacorta.
In London they are looking for shops,restaurants and hotels, and to sell gifts for customers souvenirs, all year, not only Christmas.
Some of the panettone last 4 months expiry date, or more than 6 months, depending on the temperature, ambient not too hot nor too cold.
