Preventing Dead Bodies Being Lost & Found in Bayous

The bayou (waterway) around Houston has large numbers of dead bodies. And that's only the ones reported missing and found.

Causes - serial killer. Preventable accidents needing safety measures.

Whichever is the cause, here are some solutions

Common cuases and solutions.

Causes

1 Drunk people.

2 Walking Home Alone.

3 Can't swim.

4 Unfenced waterways.

5 Nobody knows what happened.

Solutions.

1 Serve food with alcohol.

2 Free water or coffee with every drink or every second drink.

3 Provide free transport

4 Or shuttle buses linking bars to landmarks and transport hubs.

5 Fences around all areas near bars, sponsored by the city, and bars, and gofundme, and police, and city, and environment. (Memphis has run a contest for an attractive istorical artistic fence on the Black Bayou.)

Houston Bayou.

Memphis Bayou fence.

6 Everyone walking home should have a phone recording their journey live to a family member, recording, or central police observation.

7 Apple watches recording heartbeat which send out alarms and location if heart stops.

Passenger tried to open plane door in-flight to the USA, May 2025

A passenger tried to open a plane exit door on an ALL NIPPON  flight from Tokyo, Japan, to Houston, Texas, USA.

Numerous comments on the newspaper article pointed out that you cannot normally open a door in-flight, at height.  Air pressure stops the door opening.

On another occasion, another passenger had tried opening the door on or near ground level.

However, even though the recent attempt to open the plane door was not a risk, when at height, it is disturbing having a passenger doing dangerous things which could seem likely to injure others, either in his mind, or other passengers' minds.

When he cannot open the door, what will he do next? Might he attack somebody else if thrarted by the plane, by a person, a calm person, an angry person, somebody trying to resttrain him, or even somebody trying to simple talk. He might be trying to kill himself or others. He might be having a panic attack. His mood might change. The other passengers themselves might be roused to action, panic stricken or angry.

Second Incident!

The flight was diverted to land earlier at Seattle, so the passenger could be removed. While the plane was an the runway, a second passenger caused disruption and was removed.

The plane was apparently four hours late at the original destination.

Would you fall asleep happily after witnessing that, or hearing about it on your flight?

The person who allegedly tried to open the door was not named nor shown in photos. Everybody risks stress, and financial loss. Maybe missed connecting flights.

Flight Damage

A list of air rage incidents recorded in Wikipedia includes an incident in which the interior pane of a window was broken by a passenger.

A man got left on a locked plane in Houston airport December 2013.
I once took a flight from the USA to the UK. It wasn't one flight but to my surprise two or three stopovers with short flights all across the USA.
Each flight only allowed a couple of hours sleep because you have to queue up for the next plane, get your luggage, wait for take-off, keep seats up for mealtimes. If you are taking two or three flights and miss a night's sleep you are completely zonked by the last flight.
If you stayed up late and hoped to sleep on the plane, it's worse. You might have been awake all night on a previous long haul flight, staying awake deliberately to watch a film or because you changed time zones, or because of a baby in front and a kicking toddler behind. Once I was kept awake by the ladies behind playing snap with the free playing cards, constantly banging cards down on the table on the back of my seat.
It's really scary being alone in a plane or train. The latter happened to me in London when I woke to realise my train was heading sideways into a siding. You could be left for three days on an out of service vehicle. No food, nothing. Spooky. Scary. No idea if anybody will find you.
Supposing the abandoned passenger had a heart attack? Before he woke. Or after. Nobody would have got him to hospital in time to revive him.
Now if I fall asleep on a flight, I ask cabin crew to be sure to wake me at my destination.
