How do you say welcome and Happy Christmas in other languages. If you speak English, the easies to remember are French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Spanish will do for South America, with the exception of Brazil. Portuguese will do for Brazil.
FRENCH
French is easiest. Joyeux Noel. Joyous noel. Noel rhymes with Joel.Think happy Christmas, merry Christmas, joyous Christmas.
The Christmas carol goes:
'The first noel
The angels did say ..."
ITALIAN
Buon Natale
SPANISH
Feliz navidad
PORTUGUESE
Feliz Natal
If you can master the German you can also say the right thing in Austria and parts of Switzerland which don't speak French and Italian.
Swedish and Norwegian are almost the same and easy to learn, two words of one syllable, the first sounding like good and looking like God.
