How well do you speak a language? You can take exams. Or you can rate yourself. Many people can read a language but not speak it. Others can speak it but not read it. Or you might be able to speak and read but not write with the correct accents and spelling.
This self-assessment is pretty easy, with no test to do. It just has columns covering the categories of reading writing speaking and so on down the left and across the top levels one to five describing how well you can speak.
I started by looking at the assessments for Spanish and German. But my language understanding was not enough to read all the columns.

So I switched back to the English. Then I could see what it was all about. Not a piece of work to translate into past and present and future, but a description of how well you understood, ranging from giving simple instructions and ordering a meal, to writing a thesis.
If you want to learn languages, on Singapore Airlines I was able to use Berlitz and brush up my Greek and Chinese (Mandarin). Several other languages were offered. The usual European languages such as French, German, Spanish and Italian.
You can download duolingo onto your mobile phone to learn whilst travelling.
