More than 23 million people watched the queen's speech on Sunday 5th April 2020.
I had spent the earlier part of the day watching speech contests including the International speech, which is often a motivaltional speech.
I did a Toastmasters International speakers' training style of evaluation of the Queen's speech on COVI19, as if it were a contest speech.
Structure and Organization
Good.
Support material excellent. Videos of hospitals, people in streets clapping to show appreciation of the NHS, children thanking the NHS, by displaying colour in the rainbows.
Support material excellent. Videos of hospitals, people in streets clapping to show appreciation of the NHS, children thanking the NHS, by displaying colour in the rainbows.
Achievement of purpose, interest and reception.
Good. Ideas, logic and original thought. Good.
Appearance,
Excellent. Face and eyes are visible.
Pleasant colour. Three strings of pearls frame the face, matching brooch with central green colour gem matching green of dress. Small ear rings keep attention on face, not jangling.
Speaking area
Good. Face fills the screen.
Body language, dignified. No swaying.
Voice flexibility and volume.
Excellent. Every word clear. No jargon. Excellent use of pauses at the ends of sentences and between clauses, and even between words.
Directness
Excellent. No looking up nor down, but eyes constantly on the camera as if she is talking to you the listener.
Enthusiasm, not required by this style of speech.
Assurance yes, good, calm.
Appropriateness
Yes entirely suitable for the crisis, takes in everybody, old and young and all kinds of workers.
Correctness of grammar, pronunciation and word selection
Excellent.
The Queen is not the only person to have given a speech.
Boris gave regularly daily briefings.
Trump is not one for keeping quiet.
Merkel's speech was praised.
German flag
You can see Merkel speaking and hear a spoken translation (not just subtitles).

You could compare three speeches
The speech by HM The Queen,
The speech by Merkel of Germany
The speech by PM Lee of Singapore.
