I read about an incident on an American airline where a woman was apparently denied boarding because of her low cut top.
If women passsengers, or men, wear skimpy clothes, passing by others in the aisle, and sitting next to strangers, you then get a religious man sitting next to passengers demanding to change seats.
Airlines should have dress codes. Lend passengers an airline blanket made into a poncho with safety pins.
Make sure the dress code is on the booking form and ticket and before passengers get on the plane.
I try to rremember to pack a shawl in my carry-on luggage. Then I have warmth and privacy at the airport, on board, at breakfast in a hotel, or when taking public transport or touring to a temple if I am obliged to delay flying but my luggage has gone on ahead.
As far as I am concerned, when you are in a club, hotel, or a plane, their property, their rules.
Avoiding Confrontation
To prevent trouble, confontation, conflict, I have edited my draft remarks to make them a general discussion, not of a particular incident, airline nor people. I changed she to passengers, and they to airlines. The result is less exciting to read, but in some ways more calming for the writer and reader.
