What do I like about Kolomna in Russia, a historic city south of Moscow a place I had never heard of half an hour ago? I like everything. the novelty sweets using apples, and egg whites. they are called Pastila. I like the use of leftover egg yolks in pasta.
I love the idea of the museum to the food. The revival of apple varieties.
I adore the pretty window frames.
This quaintness is a contrast to the robust kremlin - the word kremlin means citidel, which means the city's fortified part, or fortress.
Russian Language
Whilst we are in a Russian area, visiting online, I need a few words of Russian. With the help of translate google I have created my list which is on the next posts.

At 27 dollars for three packs, plus shipping from the USA to Asia more than twice that, not exactly cheap.
Another company, a shop inn Moscow, sells pastila in a music box, or pastila in assorted flavours, but their prices are in a foreign currency, roubles, with a sign which looks like a P with two horizontal lines through it.
