Canu Gwlad - meaning singing country - five Welsh words to learn
Welsh language version of Canu Gwlad. In English is means singing country. It is sung to an American country music tune. Yes, Canu is singing. the adjective is first as in English.

A double l sounds as if you are clearing your throat, like the Scottish word lock (the ck not the l).
What is there to enjoy in Wales? Castles and green valleys with white sheep. Welsh male voice choirs. Girls playing the Welsh harp and singing. Welsh cakes, like small fat pancakes, served hot with butter.
