Invicticus, Inspiring poem, and the grave of William Ernest Henley

William Ernest Henley wrote Invicticus.

St John's church. His grave is in the churchyard.
His ashes were buried in the tomb of his daughter.

Clearly marked William Ernest Henley, gravestone in church yard in St John's Church, England, UK.

Henley inspired the character Long John Silver in Treasure Island (1883) written by his good friend Robert Louis Stevenson.

The character inspired the name of the fast food fish restaurants in the USA and the island of Singapore.

An early Cape Cod style restaurant, now closed, in the USA

Co-brand in Wyoming.

Singapore locations of Long John Silver's include Hillion Mall, Tiong Bahru Mall, Tampines Mall, and several others, more than 20, all over the city. They serve seafood and chicken in batter.
