Yes, you do Speak GERMAN !


I bet you know at least ten words of German.

PLACENAMES
Salzburg: salz means salt, salt fortress.

DRINKS and WINE BOTTLES
German wine bottles in your supermarket will have German words on the labels.

FAMILIAR FOOD
berliner - Berlin sausage (Remember President JF Kennedy's faux pas?)

TRAVEL
   When travelling you will find German useful in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It is also understood in and countries bordering on Germany such as parts of the Netherlands and Alsace in France.
