Where can we take the family for Christmas?

If you are in the USA, Santa Claus, Indiana. No need to travel all the way to Europe. No need to book flights. Just drive. It's a real place on the map, not a seasonal pop-up, although one of the theme parks is closed in December, there's the sign, numerous shops, a Santa who has a white beard.
A couple of ladies answer letters from children addressed to Santa.
You can see a huge, larger than life statue of Santa. He's twenty foot high.
Amusements include a golf course where the obstacles and decorations have a Christmas theme. Expect a giant snowman.

If you want to go to Europe - Finland:
Santa Claus Village is an amusement park in Rovaniemi in the Lapland region of Finland. It was opened in 1985.[1]
