The red eight gallery was given that name because the number 8 and the colour red are Asian favourites. After moving to Singapore, when I selected a new email, I chose memorable numbers 8 or 88. The number 8 in my email when I found the numbers one to four were already taken I thought of jumping to lucky 8 or 88 which are short and easy to recall. The founders wanted to appeal to Asians who might be interested in investing in British Banksy.
