Getting There
Croydon has trams. The architecture is varied.
Croydon sounds like miles away if you live north of London, but it is on one of the London zones. However, the zones permitted to holders of certain tickets such as the Senior Citizens Freedom Pass, might cover different zones. Best to check first.
From central London, choice of routes. You can go via Victoria, via Clapham Junction, change from one Croydon station to another.
Watch out for changing at platform 6 - only a four carriage train - we came down at one end of the platform and didn't realise the train was already parked at the other end. We missed the fast train, caught the next fast train, and ended up arriving at the same time as the slow train.
