Dress to impress - every day different. Get attention and make friends. A conversation opener.
Travellers, wear a different dress every day, or at least a different scarf or tie, and keep a record. Years later you will be able to identify the date and place of every photo.
I started this project at home during Covid-19. I could not go out shopping but I had wardrobes full of clothes, mostly not worn for ages. It was easier to take the dress I had worm yesterday and wear it again with the matching shoes.
I could wash some dresses out at the end of the day and they would dry overnight. If they were slightly damp, they kept me cool. (Only in tropical countries. In cold countries you ware warned not to wear wet clothes because that could give you rheumatism.)
If clothes did not dry overnight, I could alternate two dresses.
Then two ideas occured to me.
1 I should wear all my dresses in turn.
In the old days when I went out, some dresses were not suitable. I might be overdressed. Underdressed.
Clothes were too delicate to wear running around. They might get spoiled by food eaten out.
But at home everything was suitable. I could change later in the day to something smarter or more comfortable. I could wear a waterfproof apron whilst eating.
2 My family needed the entertainment of seeing me in a new dress every day.
3 When travelling, in my old days as a travel writer, I would wear a simple dress in the daytime, and doll it up in the evening at a fancy restaurant with a sparkly scarf.
A man could do the same with a set of seven shirts or just 7 ties. In fact, four would do. By day five the first two ties would be a change.

It is very easy to list the clothes you are wearing each day, in the top line of your diary entry after you dress for the day. If you are keeping a travel journal, simple write the date and the dress.
You could even colour code the days.
Red for Monday.
Orange for Tuesday.
Yellow for Wednesday.
Blue for Thursday.
Green for Friday.
Purple for Saturday.
Black and white for Sunday.
Somebody asked me what was the message of my dress for the day.
Dress to impress was originally a dress company slogan and copyright. But it is now used everywhere.
