How To Recognize Stars On National Flags With Stars: Which flag's which? How many stars and points? Quiz.

The flags below are listed by the number of stars, then within each category, alphabetically. Read carefully and see if you can answer the questions in the quiz at the end.

FIVE POINT STARS

ESPERANTO - ONE FIVE-POINT STAR
The flag of the made up international language Esperanto, has one five-point star in green on a white square top left of a green flag.

MOROCCO - 5 POINT STAR
The flag of Morocco has one central five point star.


VIETNAM - ONE FIVE-POINT STAR

CHINA - FIVE FIVE-POINT STARS

The flag of China has one large five-point star and four smaller ones. Total, five five-point stars.


SINGAPORE - FIVE FIVE-POINT STARS

The flag of Singapore has a large white crescent moon and five five-point stars. A large Chinese population and the same colour and number of points on the stars ast the Chinese flag. (I am not saying they copied the Chinese flag. I am saying that's a way of remembering it.)


NEW ZEALAND - FOUR FIVE POINT STARS
The five point stars are in the shape of the Southern Cross seen in the sky.

Flag of Brazil - 27 five-point stars
Again, stars reflecting what is seen in the sky over the capital of the country.

FLAG OF VENEZUELA
EIGHT FIVE-POINT STARS
You might see other variation of this flag, seven stars, or the flag without the motif on the yellow  area.

SIX POINT STARS
ISRAEL - ONE SIX-POINT STAR

The Star of David is also known to Muslims nowadays as the seal of Solomon. In earlier times is was also a Christian symbol. The same six point star in red is used by ambulences in Israel, their equivalent of the Red Cross.

AUSTRALIA - SEVEN-POINT STARS - Five seven-point stars
The flag of Australia has one large seven point star, four smaller seven point stars and one five point star. The large seven point star represents the Commonwealth, the mainland divisions of Australia, with territories outside Australia added later.

USA
The flag of the USA, nicknamed the stars and strips, has multiple stars. Fifty stars for Fifty states.

1 USA 50 stars for 50 States.
2 The flag of Morocco has one star and give points.
3 Esperanto. The flag has one star. Five points.
4 China - five five-point stars.
5 Singapore - five five-point stars plus a moon.
6 Israel - One star. Six points. Star of David. (Also known to Muslims as the Seal of Solomon.)
7 Australia - on the left the Australian states, the commonwealth; on the right, the Southern cross.
8  New Zealand Four stars. Five points. The stars on the New Zealand flag represent The Southern Cross, in the sky.
9 The flag of Vietnam has one star. Five points.
