On zoom I put up a red background because i happened to have red felt and red sheets to hand.
When I went onto zoom I got the background over my lips.
for my speech, and the group photo, I had to turn off the background.
I wondered why.
The next day I looked at the red sheet and thought, I like red. Red lipstick.
Revelaton. Light dawned. The red lipstick was the same colour as my background.
That is why green is chosen, because green rarely appears, unless you have a potted plant on the table.
Now I have to consider which is easier. Change the red sheeting to green. Or wear green lipstick. I think I shall look for a green background.
How long will this Covid-19 retrict us until we can continue?
We were speaking online, in an online toastmasters International meeting, to a friend who has gone to live in Switzerland. She says her meetings in Switzerland take place in person. Sweden, according to the news reports, is another country without restrictions on in person meetings. If they irk you, you might consider emigrating or changing jobs or getting a transfer.
Meanwhile, I am talking online to friends all over the world. I am travelling online, seeing faces close-up, enjoying conversations, and meeting more than ever.
