People say, 'It's only a flu'.
The person I spoke to today (he is in London) who had Covid19 and is still recovering disagrees that it is like flu. He said:
"I caught it in mid-March (2020). We were eating lunch at a pop-up restaurant, where you pay the place in advance from a menu you are sent. We were seated at long tables.
"My friends, a couple, were sitting opposite. I remember they phoned me afterwards to say they were both running a temperature. I was shocked. That night, I, too became ill.
"I was really ill for about six weeks. I didn't go into hospital because I didn't have breathing difficulties. But I had pain below the waist and couldn't walk.
"Afterwards it was coming and going for several more weeks. I would be better for a couple of days, then fall ill again.
"Only now (September 12th) do I feel back to normal. And I still don't know if it will come back again."
I asked, "How can you be sure it was Covid19."
"I had the known symptoms. I lost my sense of taste and smell. And I had a test. I was too ill to work and the company started losing money because of Covid19. I had to use to use the furlough money to pay the staff redundancy money."
"Is that legal?"
"Oh, yes."
"So, it's not just like flu?"
"No. not at all. A lot worse."
