CHOOSE YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS FOR SEARCHES
If I am making a trip to another country, I sometimes have to stop ordering items which might arrive after I have left my first 'home'. I start looking for items which have cheaper delivery to the second country.
If you have registered your address on Amazon.com and you are visiting the UK you can re-register with the amzon.co.uk site or change your address. Some websites, when you change your address, will re-direct you to their other website. This can save a lot of time. For example, some places in the USA offer free delivery only within the USA. You might get quoted prices in the local currency.
EXTORTIONATE DELIVERY CHARGES?
Also the price for delivery can be a lot higher. An item costing under 20 US dollars, sent to the UK, can cost three times the garment's sale price in postage.
Even within the USA, postage prices vary. I might find that a garment sent form the UK from Florida is a lot less in postage than a garment sent from California. The price might also vary depending on the carrier. I don't necessarily want guaranteed next day delivery when it doubles the price.
FREE DELIVERY FROM CHINA SENDERS
I use Amazon, Etsy and Ebay the most.
On ebay you can choose as one of the options in seraches for free postage, buy now, and auction if you are not in a hurry.
China addresses sometimes deliver free worldwide. I understand the goods are not sent straight individually by a carrier such as DLH. They go to a container port. When the container is full, it is transported by ship to the other continent, then by local post.
This means the sender has no way of predicting how long your package will take to arrive. You need to guess which country you will be in on the delivery date.
THE DRESS FROM EBAYThe skirt of the dress has lace godets, triangular inserts to make it fuller. A useful trick if you have a skirt too small or too tight for walking or want to dance.
I was not enamoured with the colour when it arrived from EBay years ago.
SEARCH WORDS I ordered the dress with matching scarf it after a search for clothes with matching scarf.
But it is very light, loose, and comfortable. So now I think it cuts the mustard. Comments and captions please. You are welcome to share.
GOLD SANDALS & SHOESTan and gold block heel shoes from Office shoe shop and their own brand Office shoes, bought from Brent Cross shopping centre. The shoes have gold heels and a zip up from the heel to the ankle and elastic both sides of the ankle strap.
I just rediscovered the Office shoes website. Amazing - as usual they have a sales, with gold flat sandals at only twenty pounds sterling or less. If you buy three pairs of summer shoes or idnoor shoes you would reach the minimum spend to qualify for free UK delivery. If you are in Singapore, you might have to change your address to UK when looking at UK websites, otherwise you keep getting won't deliver or not available.
