Celebrations Worldwide For The Royal Wedding -

Problem
You weren't invited to the wedding of HR Prince Henry of Wales ('Harry') and Meghan. Nor was I. Never mind. We can still see it all - even hours or years later.

Everybody was interested. The Brits, proud and curious, or homesick. The Americans, delighted. Women worldwide watching the clothes, admiring, emulating. Singers listening to the songs and music. People of mixed race celebrating. Street parties. Office parties. People glued to TV.

I watched the royal wedding on YouTube on CNN. Loved it. Better than being there - aerial views of Windsor Castle, crowds lining the streets, close-ups of people and famous faces.

Gorgeous costumes. Colour co-ordinated. H M The queen, neat, colourful, but not upstaging the bride.

Novelty value - the gospel choir, all beautifully dressed.

Office Parties
My family in the UK sent me photos of an office party in London. They stopped work at 5 on Friday and had a buffet tea.

The photo looked as if the royal couple had visited.
The Union Jack - yes, we are still united. Lots of chocolate - the British are famous, infamous for their sweet tooth. I hope there were some glasses of water and maybe some fruit.

Another photo looked as if the royal couple had visited.

On closer look, and thought, I realised the organizers must have used a totally realistic - fooled me at first glance - cardboard cut-out of the royal couple. Notice the red, white and blue balloons and the flags draped across the room.

That really adds a royal them to a family party. I've seen the same done at a wedding in Singapore, Chinese Singaporean bride, Indian Singaporean groom, where a photo of bride and groom greeted you at the entrance, although the couple were present but inside. Very effective and welcoming.

This can be done any time when you are honouring a couple who are not present, or want a welcome sign for multi-national visitors.

Now it's over, don't throw away your newspapers and souvenirs. Save them or sell them on ebay.

That chocolate might go off in the heat. Better eat it - or sell it.
