How to Pack Light for Travel and Never Check in Luggage

Roll-up Packing? Why Not Flat Packing?
Rolling your clothes, like the Marie Condo method for rolling items in drawers in the bedroom, has the advantage that you can see every item at a glance. Unlike the old-fashioned method of spreading everything flat, which was supposed to take less space.

Creasing and Crease-free Clothes
Packing flat was also supposed to make for less creasing.

The pretty woman in the video says buy clothes which don't crease. I agree.

When I look at clothes in Sales on a hanger, completely creased clothes, I think, 'If the shop can't keep a completely new item hanging on a hanger crease-free, what hope have I got!'

Waterproof bags
Waterproof bags are essential - especially as she goes without an umbrella. Even with an umbrella, my lightweight fabric shoulder bag was drenched through by rain in Singapore in May 2019.

At over 300 sing dollars for a backpack, I would think very hard about spending on that and do lots of comparison shopping.
