When is Labor day?
Answer
An American public holiday, the first Monday in September. Labor in the UK would be spelled Labour. I was alerted to Labor Day by an email from Samsonite's online suitcase and backpack and other travel bag sales.
If you sign up to companies' websites when they are based in the USA and/or worldwide, you are likely to get offers from American companies. So, if you are planning on buying luggage or anything else, you might hold off your purchase or look for another one on national holidays.
I look at Amazon for offers and reviews from one to five stars, eBay for new and secondhand - and the briefer reviews, checking the small number of bad reviews - irrelevent if they are using a different shop, the company's website and a general Google search for nearby department stores and luggage shops.
