Don't Be Alone Out There!

Problem
You arrive in a foreign country. Your first trip is exciting. You are in a hotel and met people and see the tourist sights. You go to live there. It's not the same. You are living alone all day and evening.

Answers
Join a group or start a group.

BNI
Breakfast networking club. Because everybody is in business, the mostly meet before work, although I did go to one group which met at lunch times for lunch at a golf club. In each local area you have a score or more local business people, only one of each kind, such as one plumber, one lawyer, promoting each other and doing business with each other and recommending each other. When invited by the group leader or a friend who is a member, you are allowed one minute to introduce yourself and your business. On joining for an annual fee you take turns to give a five minute presentation. Businesses who are members can display a hanging card holder with cards of other members.

Meetup
Start or join a group of any interest, such as learning a language, wine clubs. Get notified of events on your interests locally or worldwide. There are pages of countries to click on and cities within countries.
For example, in Moscow you can meet English speakers at groups for the English, or Australians, business startups, beer, pub crawls, geeks, meditation, learn Russian, or free walking tours and several more.
If you join, you pay an annual fee, which I presume you can claim as an expense for tax purposes.

SANDBOX
Millenials looking for networking with other leaders for new projects, new ideas, opportunities, leadership, charity work: USA, Singapore, all over.

TOASTMASTERS
(USA, UK, Singapore, more than 100 countries) Trains speakers. Not for profit organisation. Join in one country and visit groups all over the world. All ages. I can go to one of half a dozen meetings every night of the week in Singapore, sometimes two a day if I can make a lunch time meeting.
