The Malaysian Language (called Bahasa Malay) and Indonesian are almost the same, like English and American. The Malay language is phonetic, written the way it sounds, like simplified English, or American spelling.
Looking down this list below at the end, words grouped by subject and translated from Google, the familiar words are coming back to me from my times in Malaysia and Indonesia reading menus which were in two languages, or three or more, as well as being helped by my family who lived in Singapore and friends who live in Malaysia. I can easily compile a list of side by side comparison of the easiest words which I recall.
I kept looking at the list and thinking that there was a mistake or a translation had not been found. Then I remembered that plurals are created by repeating a word. So one juice is jus. Two juices are jus jus. So jus jus means two or more juices. I have other posts on Malay and other languages. Please bookmark and share links to your favourite posts.
