This ad appeared next to me as I waited at a bus stop in Singapore. A series of McDonalds pictures appeared. Each country has its own seasonal specialities adapted to local tastes. try them whilst you can, because you can't be sure they will be available next year, next month, next week or even tomorrow. I loved the durian shakes, but they kept running out and a month later they were not available.
Salted egg is popular in Singapore. It appears as the centre of the more expensive mooncakes, for the autumn harvest festival at full moon time. Mooncakes are generally sweet. the salted egg enables you to eat more of the sweet stuff and get some protein, and a contrast in tastes.
If you are a Singaporean going to England, like the USA and the rest of the world, the UK has many branches of McDonalds. Also look for the British lunchtime snack, Scotch Egg, a boiled egg encased in sausaged meat.
