1 Two and a half bottles for about 25 people.
2 No. Prosecco or Cava or cut price Champagne will keep everybody happy. Most people can't tell the difference, are too tired to care, or don't notice because they are too busy toasting each other and trying to remember the words of Auld Lang Syne.
3 Update: The price of Tesco's own Champagne is down to £6 on New Year's Day.Stock up for next year, and check you are storing it correctly.
